7:00 a.m.
City Academy opens for breakfast and before school activities such as Choir and Drama Club.
7:15 a.m.
The Head of School greets every family, every morning during student drop-off. He opens car doors and brings positive energy and a welcoming smile to start the day. 
7:55 a.m.
City Academy students gather to recite "My Pledge of Allegiance to Me" by Edna J. Hanks Pipes. Typically, one class is chosen to lead and the school repeats each line.Read more
8:05 a.m.
“Morning meetings” convene as pat of our Responsive Classroom approach to promote enthusiasm and cooperation for the day ahead. 
9:00 a.m.
Specialist classes begin as upper school (2-6 grade) students move in small groups to art, science, mathematics, physical education/health, Spanish and music. 
10:00 a.m.
All students enjoy morning snack and recess. 
11:30 a.m.
Lunch is prepared in the school kitchen and served in several different shifts. Many faculty and staff members sit with the students at their tables. 
12:00 p.m.
Music classes rotate between general music and violin lessons. All first through sixth grade students participate in the Suzuki Method of violin instruction. 
3:30 p.m.
The school day ends and extended day activities begin. Extended day is included at no extra cost as allows parents/guardians to pick up their child as late as 6:00 p.m. Students in extended day may enroll in 8-week mini classes such as yoga, robotics, martial arts, gardening, cooking, entrepreneurship, and more. 
6:00 p.m.
City Academy closes.
