Early Childhood Physical Education Teacher

KJ joined the City Academy team in 2020 as the Upper School Physical Education Assistant, and became the Early Childhood PE Teacher in 2021. He graduated from Greenville University located in Greenville, Illinois, where he played football for four years and served on many different clubs. During his last semester of college, KJ worked full-time at the Downtown STL YMCA as the Welcome/Membership Specialist. A year after working at the YMCA I transitioned to working as a paraprofessional and football coach at his alma mater, O’Fallon Township High School located in O’Fallon, Illinois.

KJ is described by my colleagues as a people person who is dynamic and fun to work with. He is an extremely outgoing person who loves staying physically active! In his spare time, he is a personal trainer and registered IHSA basketball official. His hobbies include spending time with friends and family, working out, and traveling to the west coast.
