Kindergarten STEAM Teacher
Rochelle believes teachers who love teaching, teach students to love learning!
Rochelle Wright has a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the University of Missouri St. Louis and a Master of Arts in Education from Lindenwood University. She started at City Academy in 2022. For the past 30 years, she had been a kindergarten, first, and second-grade teacher in the Ferguson-Florissant School District.
Rochelle knows every classroom has its unique community and feels her role as the teacher is to assist each student with developing and reaching their potential. She has a creative teaching style that incorporates hands-on activities and engaging lessons that activate student learning. She strives to create a learning community that nurtures the growth of young learners in a fun, exciting, and positive manner.
Rochelle’s creativity continues outside of the classroom. She enjoys cooking homemade meals for her family and friends, learning new crafting techniques, and shopping for stylish shoes. In addition, she is always interested in finding a new book to read or an item to bling.
